Clips of solos and featured moments in Concurrent Pulsations This piece draws inspiration from the intricate and multifaceted nature of rhythm, which speaks to us across time—from the future to the past and back again. The final section is influenced by the Baka women and the Pygmy communities of the Congo Basin and Cameroon, who represent the largest remaining group of hunter-gatherers on Earth. In a striking display of musicality, the Baka women create distinct, syncopated rhythms by drumming individually in the river.
